Need a quick and painless loss?  Relief is just one phone call away.  That’s right folks, Guillermo Mota will make sure you make those swanky seats at Nobu or whatever restaurant is the hot spot these days.  I know there were no other options there at the end of the tired and weary Dodger bullpen but who really expected him to get through this 12th inning unscathed?  Anybody?  As I’m writing this Casey Blake has just gone deep to tie the game back up though, so you might want to call the restaurant and have them push that arrival time back another 30 minutes or so–just enough time for Mota to get obliterated here in the 13th.

And are we serious about those FREE MANNY shirts?  Did we make those?  if yes then we are even awesomer than I thought if that is even possible.  What else do we have to talk about today?  The fire is out finally, so that is good news.  Oh, I thought this image was pretty priceless: someone at my work sent this to me, so apologies to whoever actually took it for the non-credit.

Understatement

You know what else I would like to talk about too?  My Giant friends.  After the Manny story broke G Slim and myself were immediately bombarded with 25ish emails about Manny being a fraud, Duck the Fodgers, etc etc.  You know what?  This is a good thing.  The Dodger-Giant rivalry has not been the same since Bonds left town.  Today is a perfectly sunny day in LA and they aren’t even drawing 40k people.  Yeah it’s Mother’s Day but still, it’s Dodgers-Giants…if you can’t get up for this then you can’t get up for anything, right?  Manny’s twisted tale will probably serve to kick-start this rivalry and put us back in the bloodbath which is really all we can ask for.  MOTA UPDATE: groundout, single, walk, single, double.  So there’s still hope you make the restaurant afterall.  Happy Mom’s Day everybody.  Guillermo Mota, you are offically a PERRO DE CACA.
