Such Great Heights

So, this is what first place feels like, huh? A fella could get used to this, that's for sure. The baseball season is many things but "short" is certainly not one of them, so it's nice to enjoy the view from the top. And how about Andre Ethier, huh? The Beefcake reached base 10 times in the series. 10! Take that Juan Pierre. Sadly JP probably would have had a better series than Matt Kemp, who has reverted to his old "close eyes and swing hard" ways. San Diego tomorrow my friends, no time to let our guard down now.

Speaking of the view--what is the NFL's deal? Here in SB the National Football League blessed us with a grand total of three lousy day games: the decent Saints-Bucs match-up, the game-that-nobody-cared-about-two-months-ago-but-now-is-a-must-see-spectacle Jets vs Dolphins collision and the completely unwatchable Cardinal-49er shimsham. Really? That's what they're giving us, on arguably the most anticipated sporting day of the year? I guess I shouldn't be surprised, seeing as how the League is essentially using pitchman Jimmy Kimmel in their counter-intuitive "You Probably Missed It..." ad campaign. Whatever. I'm in two Fantasy Football Leagues this year and I'm going to keep track of the action as we go along, so far it looks like I'm in like for a pair of Dubs but I'm not counting anything yet.

Oh I guess and some guy named Tom Brady got hurt?
