Much needed win, today, huh? Visions of Joba’s impending DL stint flashed through my brain when the Dodgers trotted Kershaw back out for the 7th inning but seeing as how Lowe laid an egg yesterday and they went extra innings Tuesday it was a justifiable decision, especially when Clay went 3-up 3-down. Am I the only one that thinks this whole, “Cardinals fans are the best/smartest fans in all of baseball” is nothing more than a self-perpetuating myth? I believe my wildly varied and extravagant life has brought me in contact with a grand total of four Cards fans and I don’t think any would qualify as the brightest bulb in the tanning bed. The first one wore a St. Louis hat every day, asked to be in my fantasy league, drafted a Cardinal in every round and finished DFL. The second I just saw for the first time in several years and he asked me what team Mark McGwire was on now. Numbers 3 and 4 were sort of a cross between the first two.
