Ethier bails out Dodger Bullpen; Saves My Dad a Heart-Attack
Andre Ethier not only saved Chan-Ho Park's dignity and my father's health but he also saved the rest of you from having to read about Spontaneous Bullpen Combustion again, so I think we can all be thankful for that. My dad has been a long suffering Dodger fan for roughly 23 years longer than I've been, so once Ethier's shot cleared the wall in right I only had to wait about 10 seconds for his call. "Thank God for Andre," was all he could get out before wondering why on God's green earth Park threw an 0-2 sluffball to Ryan Braun that Chris Rock could have smoked into the gap.Oooooh...this just in: apparently if you hit 2 jacks (one of them being the aforementioned walk-off) they do a phoner with BBTN, let's see how this progresses...
"I think it's just adding those key guys like Casey and Manny, giving ourselves a little credibility and confidence."
There's no question that this Dodger team is significantly different (not to mention better) than the team of three weeks ago. Any number of baseball analysts would tell you that even with the addition of Manny and Blake they are still an inferior team to both the Phillies and the Brewers but a nice little 6-1 split sure does look good right now, doesn't it? Day off tomorrow and then the Rockies roll into town for a 3 game set.
