Blogging at work is more fun than blogging at home

I have two pictures tapes to my computer monitor in my office/extra bedroom. One is of Morrissey because anyone who can come up with a song like, “The More You Ignore Me, The Closer I Get” deserves all the props in the world, the second is a postcard imagine of Vin Scully. You can imagine the hate and disgust that was passed around my daily hourly email Dodger/USC/UCLA email chain. Well, today Jeff Kent says he’s sorry. Kinda, sorta.

During last night’s telecast I wondered if Vinny would stay quiet about Kent’s numbers during the Manny Era but right in the first inning Vinny noted that Kent is batting .4whatever over the last 21 games, just seconds before Kent drilled another ball into the left field alley, scoring Matt Kemp. Not many bright spots for the Dodgers last night, who rebounded after Kuroda’s shaky start only to have the bullpen hand the game to the Rockies later on. Arizona (or B. Lyon, more specifically) also tried to hand their game to San Diego before hanging on in the 9th for a 7-6 victory, moving them one game up on LA.

And in an abbreviated overseas version of “NAME THAT CRIMINAL”…
Was once called a FAT TOAD by Big Stein
Has been suggested that he change his last name to “I-Rob-You”
Apparently that 20th mug of beer is the one that broke the Toad’s back
