Rockies Down Dodgers; AJ Held Out of Lineup Due to Case of Suckitis

The Rockies smoked the Dodgers today 7-2 and D Lowe lived up/down to his Coors Field splits, getting knocked around for 3 runs in the first. The loss snapped the Dodgers 8-game win streak and brought their successful road trip to a close. The loss also marked the first time the Dodgers had dropped a game since the creation of WCBias.com. Coincidence? I highly doubt it.

Dan Haren and the Diamondbacks also lost today to the Mets behind a strong performance from Johan Santana and remain 4 games up on LA.

AJ Update: Joe Torre was apparently not impressed by Jones' two-game hit streak and benched the pathetic horrific struggling outfielder, opting instead to start Kemp (1-4), Pierre (2-4, RBI) and Ethier (1-4, HR). Torre also noted that the LA medical staff had examined Jones’ eyes but everything checked out normal. You know things are going bad when people are wondering if you can even freaking see.
